One Lovely Blog Award

Monday, December 1, 2014

Thanks to the wonderful Lauren from Always Me, I've been nominate for the One Lovely Blog Award! Thanks so much girl, and sorry it took so long to finally post this!

And, as always, here are the rules for this award:

1.  You must thank the person who nominated you and include a link to their blog.
2.  You must list the rules and display the award.
3.  You must add 7 facts about yourself.
4.  You must nominate 15 other bloggers and comment on one of their posts to let them know they have been nominated.
5.  You must display the award logo and follow the blogger who nominated you.

As per the rules, here are seven facts about me you might not have known!

1.) I'm super short. Like, just barely reaching 5'00 kinda short.

2.) I have an affinity for board games. My closet is packed full with a million versions of Clue (which is my favorite), Monopoly, Guesstures, and Life. Luckily, my brothers still indulge me when I ask them to play. Here's one of my all-time favorites, called The Museum Caper, which is vintage and hard to find. It's a version of Clue, where you either play a robber, stealing paintings and trying to get out of the museum without being caught. Or you play the cop, where you're trying to track down the thief with security cameras and lights. Super fun.

3.) I love Disney Songs. And I'm the kinda girl that loves Frozen but won't admit aloud to singing along to every song in the movie, whenever and where ever I hear it. I can't help it. XD

4.) Speaking of movies, my favorite series of movies is Despicable Me. I swear I've seen them a million times. When I've had a rough day, I'll put one on at night to help wind down or even fall asleep to it.

5.) One of my favorite series of books is the Warrior Cats Saga by Erin Hunter. If you follow me, you'll noticed I've even reviewed a couple of them. Oddly enough, though, I didn't even pick them up till my sophomore year in college. Heck, it might have even been my junior year. So, yes, I read children's books and absolutely love it.

6.) Okay, try not to kill me here, alright? I actually read Fifty Shades of Grey. And didn't ENTIRELY hate it. There I said it. That's a big burden off my shoulders.

7.) And lastly, my favorite type of music is country music! Turn of Sugarland, Kenny Chesney, or Florida Georgia Line and I'm a happy girl!

Since everyone seems to have gotten this award, I'm just going to say that whomever hasn't been nominated and reads this, consider yourself nominated! And feel free to link me back your seven facts if you like!

Thanks again, Lauren!

  1. I've also read Fifty Shades of Grey but I did hate it. It so badly written. I mean, if I was a writer, I'll be depressed knowing that book has been published. I don't know what the editor was thinking but the writing style was horrendous LOL
Anyways, I do love Disney Songs as well. Not all of them because some lyrics are actually quite insulting to women but if a song pops-up I would sing it out loud like nobody's business hahahaha
And I'm horrible at board games. I suck, basically. My favourite one is Trivial =)

    1. Don't get me wrong. The book is definitely bad, but I have to admit that it must have done SOMTHING right for it to have sold so many copies. And, at the very least, it opened up the market for "Mommy Porn," as they call it. *Shrugs*
And yes, Disney songs are awesome. Some of them DO have a little sexism to them, like Ursula's song in The Little Mermaid. But I don't think it was meant to be taken literally. I think my favorite soundtracks are Frozen and The Lion King.

  3. You're welcome!
Fact 1 makes me feel kind of tall at 5'3" and that doesn't happen often. :)
I really enjoy board games, too! Clue is probably my favorite. One version I would like to get is the Supernatural edition. That could be awesome! The Museum Caper sounds cool - I'll have to keep my eyes out for it. I like country music as well but I tend to prefer the older stuff. I also love listening to bluegrass!

    1. Lol, that's pretty much half a head taller than me. XD
I just got the Big Bang Theory edition of Clue last year for Christmas; I made my brothers play it with me a million times. Haha!
