Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish and this week we're supposed to list the top ten books we're looking forward to in 2015. It was hard
narrowing it down to just ten, but I did my best. (Also, I usually love putting the pictures of books in my posts, but half of the ones I'm looking forward to don't even have a cover yet, and since I'm OCD, I'm not going to post any.) If you're interested in the book, just click on the title to learn more! Here we go!
Number 10: Vanishing Girls by Lauren Oliver
Lauren Oliver is one of my all-time favorite YA authors and anything by her is automatically in the TBR pile. While I tend to like her fantasy-esque genre better, I still love and devour her realistic fiction, too. I can't wait!
Number 9: Fairest by Marissa Meyer
Honestly, I was a little sad about this release, since it meant that I would have to wait EVEN LONGER before I got to read Winter, but I admit that it's grown on me. At the very least, perhaps we can understand Levana a little better. And, hey, it's a Lunar Chronicles novel. I can't NOT read it.
Number 8: Crimson Bound by Rosamund Hodge
I loved Hodge's poetic prose in Cruel Beauty and this companion novel will definitely be in possession come May. I love fairy tale retellings and, with this one focusing on a retelling of Little Red, you can bet I'll be up all night reading it!
Number 7: Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo
I'm a HUGE fan of Bardugo's Grisha trilogy and when I heard that she was writing a companion novel, I about flipped. I can't wait to read more about this fascinating world!
Okay, I may not have posted it, but can we just talk about that AWESOME cover? Anyway, this is another one that falls under the "fairy tale retellings" genre that is just a have-to read. And the fact that it's Sarah J. Maas just makes it even better.
Number 5: Peace Talks by Jim Butcher
Yeah, I probably don't have the right to post this, considering I've only read two in the series, but I hope to be at that point in the series when it finally releases.
I'm eager to read the next bit in this cute, summery drama written by Morgan Matson (Katie Finn is a pen name). Especially since the previous book left off an on a really annoying cliffhanger!
Number 3: The Racket by John Green
Well, supposedly it's going to be released at the very end of next year. And I put it on the list just in case because, well, JOHN GREEN!
Number 2: Winter by Marissa Meyer
While Fairest will be a nice way to tide me over, I'm still looking forward to Winter the most! She's such an interesting character and I've very eager to learn more about her and see how Levana is finally defeated!
Number 1: Lady Midnight by Cassandra Clare
Yeah, I don't even need to explain this one - especially since we're ALL looking forward to it! Can September 2015 just get here already? I need my Emma and Julian fix RIGHT NOW!
And those are the ten books I'm looking forward to the most, though there are a TON of others I could've listed. Which are you looking forward to the most? Let me know in the comments!
