About Me

Hi, guys! My name is Brittany Jackson and I’ve been an avid reader for as long as I remember. Thanks to some helpful friends, I’ve finally been able to create my own book blog! I plan to use this as a tool to help with my own reading, as well as provide curious readers with – what I hope will be – helpful insight into all sorts of books. I’m an eclectic reader, so my tastes run the gamut. From Young Adult to steamy romances to mysteries and everything in between!

A little about me – I have my MA in Geographic Information Systems, as well as a BA in anthropology. I work with maps for a living, creating tax maps for the county I live in and when I'm not at work, I'm either kickboxing at 9Round or have a book in my hand.

I’ve also written since I was able to hold a pencil. Over the years, I’ve come up with various novel ideas – at least three of which I want to seriously buckle down on in the next few years and complete the manuscripts. Hopefully, once they’re all written, I’ll be able to attract the attention of an agent and start on getting published. But that’s a ways off. First I have to work on getting my own place and all that fun "adult" stuff I so looked forward to as an ignorant child. Perhaps one day, though, writing can help pay the bills.

As you can tell from the theme of my blog, I love cats. I have two furry babies at the moment, Perry and Baxter. Perry’s the gray and white one, Baxter is the black and white. I don’t get much reading or writing done while they’re around, unfortunately. But they’re just too cute!

  2. Great to meet you, too! We definitely have similar tastes. Feel free to talk books whenever and let me know about good books coming out! ;D You have an awesome blog and I was sure to follow!
